I couldn’t believe I found it! I really hope this works for you!! It also has some pretty amazing stills of the film. Let me know if it works, if not I will try to find it for you. Oh, all you have to do to get to the next parts is go down to the bottom and it should say that you can watch the rest by clicking on each segment. It’s kinda small so I thought i’d tell you.
PRISSY you lowlife you just broke like every goddamn dish they own by dropping half of them and then slamming the lid of the trunk, crushing the rest. HOW ARE YOU SUPPOSED TO EAT NOW, PRISSY. YOU GONNA EAT OF THE FLOOR, PRISSY? YOU GONNA EAT OFF TABLECLOTHS? OR DID YOU RUIN THOSE TOO, PRISSY? HUH?
I feel ya about Prissy. She makes me crazy. I feel nothing when Scarlett slaps her. Now, Butterfly McQueen on the other hand, I love her! She was CUTE!
So i had a realization, that since gone with the wind is based in the 1860’s and it was filmed in the late 1920’s and released in the early 1930’s, it would have been then equivalent of a movie based in the 1950’s or 1960’s for us…
That is like a whole new perspective on this movie (:
Gone with the Wind was filmed in 1939, not the late 20’s. It was released December 15, 1939 too.
She would step over anyone and anything just to get what she wants - and she did. Shame on her. And shame on everyone else, it’s like people love her just because she’s beautiful.
I mean I love the film as a whole but when I step back, my goodness is she an odious woman!
Have you read the novel? People love her because, although she is selfish and shrewd, she is also incredibly strong and independent. She is beautiful, but she is more than that. She’s a woman that did what no other woman did back then, she worked for herself and made her name known as a businesswoman. You get so much more of Scarlett’s personality when you read the novel.
